WELCOME

We greatly appreciate all who attended the 2011 Mount Dora Music Festival, and extend a special thank you to our volunteers, Silent Auction contributors and sponsors who helped make this event our best ever.

We had some wonderful concerts this past February, and of the thirteen programs offered, only three were ticketed events while all others were free to the public -- our gift to the community. The weather was perfect -- thankfully no freezing temperatures like last year. Concerts were held in the newly renovated Mount Dora Community Center, Donnelly Park, W.T. Bland Public Library and the First Presbyterian Church.

We enjoyed meeting and visiting with new friends from The Lovin' Spoonful, ABsalute Gold - The Definitive ABBA Experience, Allan Vache Quartet, Orlando Brass Quintet, Lake Mary Prep Jazz Ensemble and country artists Jeff Hurst, April Phillips and Michael Ray. As always, it's great to visit with returning friends from American Pop 60s - The Musical History Tour, Leo Lopez, Christian Home and Bible School and Mount Dora High School bands. An improv drumming circle played at sunset to close out the festival and they were so good, we plan to make this event bigger and better in 2012.
