Mount Dora Jazz OrchestraCreated to keep Big Band jazz music alive, the Mount Dora Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Ted Innes performs arrangements of such jazz greats as Oliver Nelson, Buddy Rich, Dizzy Gillespie, and Stan Kenton. Comprised of Central Florida area professionals, aspiring amateur musicians and local stand-out high-school students, the band also performs the popular songbooks of artists like Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Glenn Miller, and Harry Connick, Jr. Combined with two fine-tuned vocalists, the 17-piece group produces a unique sound that honors the magic of Big Band jazz. |
