FROM HI-DE-HO TO THE ROLLING STONES
11th ANNUAL MOUNT DORA MUSIC FESTIVAL
COVERS DECADES OF MUSIC

MOUNT DORA: Tributes to two of the world's most popular bands are highlights of the 11th Annual Mount Dora Music Festival, February 21-24. The tribute band Satisfaction - A Rolling Stones Experience, will perform Friday, February 22nd, at 7:30 p.m. while on Sunday, February 24th, Cab Calloway Brooks, grandson of the legendary jazz singer, will perform with the Cab Jivers at 3:00 p.m. Both groups will appear at the Mount Dora Community Center, 520 North Baker Street, downtown Mount Dora. In two Saturday appearances at the Community Center, the festival will also present two-time Grammy-winner Rita Coolidge, at 5:00 and 8:00 p.m.

Recognized as the world's first full-time touring Rolling Stones tribute band, Satisfaction celebrates the look, sound, and attitude of the iconic rockers. The full-scale production is led by vocalist Chris LeGrand, who portrays the flamboyant Mick Jagger in note-for-note renditions of classics such as Start Me Up, Honky Tonk Women, and (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction, as well as on acoustic hits Angie and Wild Horses.

Satisfaction earned their well-deserved reputation through regular performances at charity events and at colleges and universities, and they have shared bills with Joan Jett, Starship, and Lynryd Skynryd. In 2005, they became the first Rolling Stones show to debut on the Las Vegas strip where the Las Vegas Sun declared the band “will have you jumping like Jack Flash.”

On Sunday, Cab Calloway Brooks turns back the clock to pay tribute to his grandfather with sounds first heard at the Cotton Club in the 1920s. Taking the stage in his wild Zoot Suit, Calloway Brooks becomes the “Hi-De-Ho” man as he and the seven-piece Cab Jivers deliver authentic dance, blues, and boogie numbers based on original vintage orchestrations. An accomplished musician, Calloway Brooks graduated from the prestigious New England Conservatory of Music while also earning a second “degree” in musical education by studying and performing with his legendary grandfather.

The Music Festival will highlight other showcase performances including the Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra's presentation of an 'Evening at the Opera' on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church which will include exciting moments from famous operas. Weekend afternoon Music in the Park concerts will be featured along with many other performances in and around downtown Mount Dora.

General admission tickets for both Satisfaction and Cab Calloway Brooks are $25 advance and $30 at the door. A limited number of $75 VIP tickets, which include reserved seats and a post-concert reception with the stars, are available. Tickets for the Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra are $36 advance, and $42 at the door.
